Strategy:
- Recommended Party: Lloyd, Sheena, Raine, and Genis.
- Genis' Spells: Turn off all of Genis' spells except for Spread, or ideally, Tidal Wave.
- Equipment: Equip Thunder Capes on your characters to resist Lightning attacks.
- Combat Tactic: While Lloyd and Sheena focus on physical attacks, Genis should cast spells from a safe distance. Raine should focus on healing the party.
- Sustenance: Keep a close eye on your HP and TP. If you or Sheena take a lot of damage, retreat and use a Lemon Gel. Always monitor the bottom of the screen for your HP and TP levels.
After the Battle:
After defeating Volt, watch the cutscene. You'll receive 'Corrine's Bell' and 'Sardonyx'. Sheena will learn "T. Seal: Lightning" and "Summon: Lightning", and gain the title "Summoner".
Exit the Temple of Lightning. Before you leave the area entirely, Orochi will appear and tell you the location of the Rheairds. After this, exit the Temple and save your game.
From the dock, head South for about 3 seconds, then East for about 10 seconds. You'll find yourself surrounded by small mountains with a large white landmass to your East. Consult your mini-map; you should see a small yellow dot Southeast of your current position, nestled among the mountains. Head there, disembark, save your game, and enter Tethe'alla Base.
Tethe'alla Base Navigation:
Upon entering Tethe'alla Base, a scene will play. After it concludes, talk to Orochi to have him heal your party. You'll find a Refresher in the SW corner if you need it.
Now, change the function of your Sorcerer's Ring. Save your game and exit this room. There are four exits; take the West one. In this room, you'll find a blue block. Pull it South once, then West once. Enter the first door to the West and open the chest to get 'EX Gem Lv2'. In the next door to the West, another chest contains 'Card of Ice'.
Return to the room with the blue block. Push it East twice, pull it East once more, and then push it North three times. Proceed through the North door. At the fork, go West and enter the door. Defeat the enemy inside to obtain the passcode: "THE LIFE OF". Check the chest in this room for 'EX Gem Lv3'.
Exit this room and return to the fork. Go North and enter the door. The Raybit-type enemy found here, up the first set of stairs, holds the Memory Gem for the Base. Now, return to the large room with the four exits.
Take the East door. Here, you'll need to manipulate the blue block again: pull it South once and push it East once. Enter the door at the end, defeat the enemy, and you'll receive the passcode: "MANA IS".
Now, push the blue block West six times, pull it West once more, and push it North twice. Proceed through the door at the end. Inside, open the chest to find 'Silver Circlet'. Move the block to obstruct the beam, then make your way Northwest and enter the door. In this room, move the blue block to block the West beam and proceed through the door. Defeat the purple enemy North of you to obtain the passcode: "THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD".
Head up the North stairs. Use your Sorcerer's Ring on the blue pillar to the North, then examine the activated screen to operate the lift. Return to the room with the four exits and go West. Proceed North all the way to the room where you found the Memory Gem. At the top, pull the block on the lift West seven times and South twice.
Return to the room with the lift. Now you can get 'Dragon Tooth' and 'Lightning Sword' from the chests. Go back to the previous room and proceed North. Unlock the memory seal and save your game. Head up the Northeast stairs to find 'Silver Mail' in a chest. Return downstairs, and you'll see two grey blocks...
