Learn the best strategy to defeat the tough Forcystus and its Exbone minions in Tales of Symphonia. Get tips on weaknesses, item usage, and Unison Attacks.

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Forcystus - HP: 20,000, TP: 400, ATK: 1,200, DEF: 300, XP: 7,100, Gald: 5,800. Drops: Faerie Ring. Steal: None. Weaknesses: None. Strong against: Wind.
  • Exbone x2 - HP: 6,000, TP: 320, ATK: 1,000, DEF: 250, XP: 0, Gald: 0. Drops: None. Steal: None. Weaknesses: None.

Phases:

  1. Defeat the two Exbone enemies.
  2. Defeat Forcystus.

Strategy:

  • Your first priority is to take out the two Exbone enemies. They only have 6,000 HP each, so you should be able to defeat them relatively quickly, likely within 25 seconds.
  • Once the Exbones are dealt with, turn your attention to Forcystus. Be warned, this boss is known for being extremely annoying and difficult. It doesn't give you much room to combo and you'll likely get hit frequently.
  • When Forcystus uses its Cyclone attack, this is your cue to unleash a Unison Attack immediately. This is the best way to nullify the attack.
  • Honestly, there isn't a ton of specific advice for Forcystus beyond that. The main takeaway is that you'll be relying heavily on your items, especially Life Bottles and Pineapple Gels, to keep your party healed and revived.

After this tough battle, you'll witness a scene. Afterward, make sure to exit the Human Ranch completely to trigger another scene that leads into the end of Disk 1.
