Strategy:

  • Your first priority should be to quickly defeat the two Foot Soldiers. They have significantly less HP than Botta, making them easier targets to eliminate early on.
  • Once the Foot Soldiers are down, turn your attention to Botta. He's a spellcaster, similar to Genis, and will be a tougher opponent.
  • If you find yourself needing to heal quickly, don't rely on Kratos; use a Gel instead.
  • Pay attention to Botta's actions. If he starts defending during your combos, stop attacking immediately and switch to guarding. This is your cue that he's about to launch an attack.
  • After a while of fighting and following these steps, Botta should be defeated.

After the Battle:

Once you've won, a scene will play out, and you'll find yourself back on the World Map. From your current position, head directly East. You'll find a monolith; examine it to get a long-range view of the Triet area. After that, make your way to Triet itself.

When you arrive in Triet, another scene will occur. After it's over, exit the Inn and head to the West side of the market. Look for a shop called '>Heat Storm<' and purchase a Flying Disk. Equip it, then head to the customization shop to create a Duel Ring. After that, sell the Flying Ring you just bought.

Next, visit '>Sand Shield<'. Here, buy two Ribbons, two Gloves, and one Soft Leather. Go back to the customization shop and turn the Soft Leather into a Hard Leather for Kratos. Once all this is done, you can leave Triet.

Your next destination is the Triet Ruins, which is the location of Efreet's Seal. When you exit Triet, head West with a slight South bearing, and you'll eventually reach the first Seal.

Inside Triet Ruins:

As soon as you enter the ruins, a scene will play, and you'll have to fight two Fire Elements. They aren't too difficult. After this initial fight, Kratos will teach all four party members a skill that helps defend against magic and other attacks. Be sure to check the hole to the West; doing so will trigger another scene, and Raine will earn the title 'Archeological Maniac'. Head into the hole.

Once you're inside, make your way West. At the fork in the path, take the South route. At the very end, you'll find a chest covered in rocks. Use your Sorcerer's Ring to clear the rocks and claim the 'Lemon Gel' inside. Return to the fork and head North this time. At the end of this path, you'll find another chest, but be cautious – it's a Fake! These are tough enemies that can only be damaged by magic.
