Phases:
- Phase 1: Aska and Luna
You'll face both bosses simultaneously. The key here is to prioritize targets. Aska is generally considered the easier of the two to focus on first.
- Phase 2: Luna (after Aska is defeated)
Once Aska is down, Luna will be the sole focus. She has more attacks but is still vulnerable.
Strategy:
- Okay, so this is where you might want to use Sheena's T. Seal: Darkness if you have it. It's super effective against Aska.
- Focus on taking down Aska first. He's got a couple of main attacks: a regular physical hit that's pretty easy to dodge or block, and something called Sunshine Nova. For Sunshine Nova, he'll fly up and shoot a light ball; just try to stay out of the immediate blast radius.
- Don't worry too much about Luna during this phase. Zelos and Sheena will be busy keeping her occupied, giving you the breathing room you need to deal with Aska.
- Once Aska is defeated, turn your attention to Luna. She has more moves than Aska, but her attacks aren't as devastating. Her physical attack does moderate damage, and her most powerful move is called Ray.
- The trick with Luna is to combo her! Keep hitting her. If you deal enough damage quickly, you can actually interrupt her magic casting, which is a huge advantage.
- After the battle, you'll get the 'Topaz' item. Plus, Sheena learns some new skills: "S. Seal: Light" and "Summon: Light." Kratos will also rejoin your party and get the title "Traitor." You'll then be automatically sent to the Iselia Human Ranch.
After the Boss Fight: Iselia Human Ranch
Once you regain control after the scenes, head East and down the stairs into the facility. Make sure to save your game in this room and remember to change the function of your Sorcerer's Ring – you'll need it!
Proceed North, and a scene will trigger. It looks like you'll be splitting into two teams again. Here's a common split:
- Reactor Team: Lloyd, Kratos, Zelos, Presea
- Rescue Team: Raine, Colette, Genis, Regal
After you regain control, head East. Look for a hidden chest in the corner containing 'Lovely Mittens'. The two blue circles nearby are Refreshers, so use them if you need to. Now, head North. At the fork, go West to find 'Solar Spinner', 'Cor Leonis', and 'Muramasa'. Equip these weapons if they're upgrades for your party. Return to the fork and head East this time. Grab 'Ether Sword' and 'Rune Staff' from the chests.
Head back to the refresher room. Now, use your Sorcerer's Ring on the two cyan orbs in front of the West door to open it. Go through this room and enter the next door.
After a scene and a quick fight, head down the stairs and exit through the bottom East door. In this next area, go all the way East to find a chest with 'Rune Robe'. Head back up the stairs and go West at the fork. Use your Sorcerer's Ring on the dark blue orbs to open the door. At the end of this path, you'll find 'Aqua Grieves', 'Rune Shield', and 'Rune Mail' in three chests.
Return to the fork and head North. Use your Sorcerer's Ring on the red orbs. Before going through, head Southeast and enter the door there. Defeat the enemy inside and grab the memory gem for the memory circle you passed earlier. You'll also find 'War Hammer' in a chest here. Use your Sorcerer's Ring on the yellow orb – this acts as a shortcut back to the refresher room. Now, head back, unlock the memory seal, save your game, and finally enter the door with the green orbs.
