Phases:

1. Plantix has a large HP pool but a predictable attack pattern. Focus on exploiting its Fire weakness.

Strategy:

• Form your party with Lloyd, Genis, Raine, and Zelos.
• For Genis, deactivate all his spells except for Explosion and Raging Mist.
• Zelos can use any spells, as his primary role here is physical offense.
• Raine should be set to heal throughout the battle.
• If you have the Flame Dagger, equip it on Zelos to deal extra damage to Plantix.
• Lloyd's best techs for this fight are Sword Rain: Beta and Beast Sword Rain.
• Genis' Explosion spell is incredibly effective, dealing over 3,500 damage per hit.
• Zelos, especially with the Flame Dagger, can contribute around 500 damage per hit.
• Keep up the pressure, and Plantix will eventually fall.

After the battle, you'll get a scene and obtain the 'Mana Leaf Herb'. You'll find yourself back in front of the Storyteller's house. Go inside and talk to him for another scene. Afterwards, you'll be transported back to the entrance of Latheon Gorge. Exit the gorge and make your way to Altamira to pick up the Zircon.
