When EggRobo appears, hit him once before running to the right. EggRobo will drop a fireball onto the bridge, causing it to collapse. EggRobo will then disappear behind the waterfall and reappear on the right side of the screen. Once EggRobo shoots his fireballs at you, jump to dodge them. This boss battle is harder for Knuckles, as he shoots twice as many fireballs, requiring more jumping to avoid them.
After EggRobo shoots fireballs vertically and horizontally, attack him. If EggRobo appears by the eastern waterfall, be careful when hitting him, as he might disappear behind the waterfall and you could fall into the water, causing you to lose a life.
- If you have a Flame Shield, this boss battle will be much easier, as the fireballs won't hurt you.
When a Prison Egg starts to descend from above, wait for it to reach your jumping distance. Once the Prison Egg is at a reasonable height, jump up to hit its plunger. When you automatically head right, Knuckles will approach a bridge and jump off it to enter Hydrocity Zone.
