    Use the teleporter and go right.

    Head past the Starpost and grab the vines.

    Hop across the black pillars and use the vines.

    Collect the Flame Shield and go right.

    Jump across the clouds and go past the spiked swing.

    When Mecha Sonic appears on the right side of the screen, jump on one of the two platforms and hit him twice.
