Walkthrough:

  1. Begin by defining your character's personality using 9 points. Different traits affect dialogue and can pass or fail 'Checks' (e.g., persuasion). Some traits may block dialogue options, potentially causing you to fail 'Intentions'.
  2. Wake up and talk to Dr. Finck. Dialogue choices here do not matter initially.
  3. Exit and attempt to talk to the woman by the vending machine; you'll fail due to 'Total Lack of Motivation'.
  4. Enter the motel reception and talk to Robin, the receptionist. Passing an 'Extraverted' check (1 point) allows interaction. Dialogue choices with Robin don't matter yet. Obtain your room key card.
  5. Go to your room. Interact with the suitcase; your character may put it away depending on traits. Time passes, and you receive a phone call. Accepting or rejecting, and subsequent dialogue, do not matter.
  6. Review your 'memories' by clicking icons.
  7. A dream sequence follows, which is significant for character understanding.
  8. After the dream, an icon appears; you'll need to 'Hold to Recall' later.
  9. Exit your room and witness a truck hitting a transformer.
  10. Achievement: Tap Out! Go to your room's bathroom and drink from the tap.
  11. Interact with the vending machine, press the 'reddish button' for water, and drink it to lose 'Thirsty' status.
  12. The sky turns red, and explosions occur. You wake up in Dr. Finck's office and receive a 'Purple Pill'.
  13. Repeat the process of getting your key card and checking into your room. Take the purple pill or not, then sit on the chair to pass time. You'll receive the same phone call.
  14. Pass time until you review memories again. You'll get your first 'Intention'.
  15. Commit to the 'Memory or Fantasy?' Intention. You'll need to take the pill to lose 'Anxious Apprehension' and gain 'Inspiration' (Willpower) to commit.
  16. Go outside and investigate the transformer hit by the truck. Select all dialogue options to complete the Intention. The sky turns red, ending the loop.
  17. After talking to Dr. Finck, open memories, select the Intention, and 'Hold to Wrap Up' to gain 1 'Inspiration'.
  18. Decide to go home, unlocking an 'Intention' to leave. Commit to it and interact with your car. You'll end up back in Dr. Finck's office.
  19. A Decisional Check occurs when trying to leave again. Having +1 'Calculated' helps regain control of the car. You gain 2 'Inspiration' regardless. Fail the intention and unlock the 'The Escape Failed Successfully' achievement.
  20. Select the Intention again and 'Hold to Give up'.
  21. Free Roaming: Talk to the woman by the vending machine again. This gives you the 'Fix Vending Machine' Intention. Commit to it.
  22. Speak to the woman again and select
