Character Creation & Classes

Create your Rue Valley hero: customize appearance, choose origin, and select from Warrior, Ranger, or Mystic classes.

Your journey begins with creating your hero. Rue Valley offers a robust character creation system, allowing you to customize your appearance, choose your origin, and select one of three starting classes:

• Warrior: A master of melee combat, specializing in heavy armor and two-handed weapons. Warriors excel at tanking damage and delivering powerful strikes. Their starting ability, 'Shield Bash', stuns nearby enemies.
• Ranger: Agile and precise, Rangers are experts with bows and light weapons. They prefer to keep their distance, peppering foes with arrows and setting traps. Their starting ability, 'Hunter's Mark', increases damage against a single target.
• Mystic: Wielders of arcane energy, Mystics cast powerful spells from afar. While fragile, their destructive potential and crowd control abilities are unmatched. Their starting ability, 'Arcane Bolt', deals moderate magical damage.

Consider your preferred playstyle when choosing a class. While you can multiclass later, your initial choice significantly impacts your early game experience. Don't worry too much about perfection; Rue Valley allows for respecs later in the game.
