Quest: Into the Whispering Woods

Venture into the Whispering Woods near Oakhaven in Rue Valley. Learn combat basics fighting Blighted Goblins and Corrupted Wolves, and find the Blight Spore.

Objective: Investigate the source of the blight in the Whispering Woods. (Recommended Level: 1-3)

Head east out of Oakhaven. The Whispering Woods are immediately accessible. You'll encounter your first enemies here: Blighted Goblins and Corrupted Wolves. Practice your combat skills, focusing on dodging attacks and using your primary and secondary abilities. Follow the path marked on your mini-map. You'll eventually come across a small, corrupted clearing with a glowing, pulsating plant – the Blight Spore. Interact with it to trigger a small cutscene and update your quest. Be wary of ambushes as you approach the spore; several Blighted Goblins will emerge.
