Alright, let's tackle the 'Cold Medicine' mission in Resonance of Fate. It's not too tough, but there are a couple of spots where you'll want to be prepared. The goal is to find some cold medicine out in Silver Canyon on Level 7.
Walkthrough
- 1First things first, you'll head out of Ebel City. You'll hit a roadblock at Rainy Bridge. Here you'll face three Shady Thugs (Lv 16). Since Leanne isn't with us for tri-attacks, focus on hero actions and runs. Runs give you a good shot at a bonus shot, which can knock enemies down and give you an advantage.
- 2After dealing with the thugs, take the Elevator down to Level 6, then use Core Lift 2 to get to Level 7. If you haven't already, now's a great time to place an Energy Station here. Trust me, there are more battles coming up on Level 7, and it's super helpful to save your game before heading into Silver Canyon. You'll run into two more roadblocks on the way, but you only need to clear one of them.
- 3You'll encounter three Snow Gremlins (Lv 15) and two Chilly Dogs (Lv 17). This area is a tundra with bunkers to your right and left. What you want to do is move each character one by one to take cover behind these bunkers. From there, you can safely fire on the Gremlins. They'll usually come at you one at a time, so it's pretty safe, and you won't waste your bezels or get targeted by multiple enemies at once. The dogs will come looking for you behind the bunkers, so use your hero run and jump to take them down.
- 4Once you've cleared the route, save your game. It's also a good idea to rest to make it daytime, which helps avoid unnecessary random encounters.
Tips
- Make sure your characters have Ice-Resistant Vests and Cold Padding equipped. You can even double up on the Cold Padding for extra protection.
- If your primary gun is well-customized, you might not need dual-wielding. Consider equipping grenades and special ammunition instead.
- There's a nearby Terminal that doubles the effect of fire. If you haven't activated it yet, try to do so now.
