Walkthrough for the Open Air Studio mission in Resonance of Fate, detailing enemy encounters and strategies for protecting the moving statue.
Walkthrough
- 1When you enter a room, the statue will be with you and waiting behind the middle person of your team. If they don't move, neither does the statue. As soon as you move out of its path, the statue will begin to roll forwards along the track.
- 2Enemies will target the statue and damage its HP. You cannot heal this damage.
- 3You must arrive at the final room with the statue still intact and with sufficient HP to survive the boss fight. If the idol's HP is reduced to zero, you fail the mission, and it's Game Over.
- 4If the statue hasn't reached the exit to the next room, but you have defeated all enemies, you can proceed without waiting for it to catch up; it will be at the start of the next room.
- 5Bumping into the statue as it moves along the track will cause it to lose around 95 HP, but this is less damage than an enemy attack.
Room 1 - Orange
- Enemies: None
- Bronze Box: [ESCAPE HEX x1]
- The Escape Hex is only available if you did not obtain it in the previous chapter.
- Move one person through the threshold to the next room to start the statue moving.
Room 2 - Pink
- Enemies: Blood Doll Bomber Lv 13 x2, Experiment 21 Lv 14 x2
- Three enemies are on platforms, and the track winds past two. A fourth enemy is to the left of the track.
- Target the Experiment 21 first by sending the MG (Machine Gun) on a long hero running jump between the top two platforms.
- Use the HG (Handgun) on a short run to kill that enemy and land on the track in front of the first platform.
- Run with the second HG to attack the Blood Doll on the first platform, then use the MG to cross back to scratch that enemy.
- The first HG will have blocked the idol's progress, preventing damage from the Blood Doll. Use that HG to kill it and land on the track where it curves between the next two platforms.
- Target one of the remaining two enemies, kill it, and set up a tri-attack for the last one to avoid statue damage (aside from bumps).
Room 3 - Turquoise
- Enemies: Blood Doll Chainsaw Lv 14 x4
- Keep enemies at a distance as they must be close to attack.
- Run and jump with the MG to scratch the one down the track, then use the HG to land in front of the platform and kill that enemy. Do not worry about Resonance Points initially; avoid bumping the statue.
- The other three enemies will move towards the statue. Run and scratch one with the MG between the enemies and the statue.
- Use the HG to kill the leading enemy and potentially throw grenades at the group.
- Target the remaining enemies based on their positions, watching the statue as it moves.
Room 4 - Yellow
- Enemies: Blood Doll Bazooka Lv 15 x4
- Use Drum Cans to destroy enemies, as they are sitting on the track after the first bend.
- Enemies are grouped where the track turns left between two platforms, near the drums.
- Send the MG to the nearest platform. Use the second HG to throw grenades at the group, dealing some damage.
- Send the third HG to target the drum cans, destroying all enemies at once.
Room 5 - Blue
- Enemies: Blood Doll Chainsaw Lv 14 x1, Blood Doll Omega Lv 20 x3
- Bronze Box: [MULTI-AID x2]
- Gold Box: [HIGH-MOUNT SIGHT x1]
- The route passes the Chainsaw enemy's platform; it will jump down, so eliminate it quickly.
- The Omega group will charge the statue while you deal with the Chainsaw.
- Use Molotov Cocktails or grenades on the Omega group if available. Otherwise, attack them as fast and hard as possible.
- The track curves left from the start, past the Chainsaw's platform, then between the other two platforms where the group waits.
- A tri-attack after initial attacks can be effective. Hollow-pointed or incendiary rounds help defeat enemies faster.
Room 6 - Red
- Enemies: Blood Doll Flame Lv 14 x3
- Gold Box: [ESCAPE HEX x1]
- This room is easy as the enemies are ranged close to...
Tips
- One strategy for statue protection is to place an HG user first in the team to stay still. This character can use grenades and their Handgun against close enemies and absorb damage.
- Equipping Vashyron with Barrier Padding and Flame-Resistant Vest may make him suitable for this role due to his higher HP.
- Moving a character with a hero action further along the track can protect the statue and control its movement speed.
- If you have Molotov Cocktails or grenades, use them on groups of enemies, especially in Room 5.
- Hollow-pointed or incendiary rounds can significantly speed up enemy takedowns, particularly in Room 5.
