Learn how to perform Smackdown and Bonus Shot attacks in Resonance of Fate to knock items out of enemies. Get gold and silver chips for Rubies.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Smackdown Attack: When an enemy is airborne, jump and attack from above to perform a Smackdown, hitting the main body and all body parts. Enemies are propelled into the air by a hero run (when you don't jump, meaning you don't press the square button a second time). You can send an enemy into the air and then jump to smash it down, but it is easier to do this using a tri-attack. If the first character runs and attacks from the ground, sending the enemy up, you can then jump with the second character.
  2. 2
Bonus Shot: When an enemy is airborne, a circle with a yellow bar will appear around them. Time your attack to hit the yellow bar. If successful, the enemy is held in place, allowing you to hit it rapidly. This is a Bonus Shot, and the wider the yellow bar, the longer it lasts.
Tips
  • Both Smackdown and Bonus Shot attacks knock items out of enemies.
  • These items are Gold and silver chips, which have no purpose other than to be sold for Rubies.
  • Enemies can be propelled into the air by a hero run if you do not jump (do not press the square button a second time).
  • It is easier to perform a Smackdown using a tri-attack.
  • If the first character performs a hero run and attacks from the ground, sending the enemy airborne, the second character can then jump to perform a Smackdown.
