Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D default weapons include the Matilda (3-round burst), Grenade Launcher (electric rounds), and PSG-1 (semi-auto rifle).

Matilda

The Matilda fires a 3-round burst of handgun bullets if the trigger is held down. When aiming this gun at weaker enemies, tap the fire button quickly for one shot to set up a melee. Against stronger enemies such as Zealots, this gun can damage them quickly and set up a stun for a melee. With proper timing, the Matilda can work well against both weak and strong enemies. The Matilda has a low critical percentage, making it suitable for a head stun character.

Grenade Launcher

The grenade launcher comes loaded with electric rounds that will stun enemies briefly and sometimes activate stuns. Electric rounds are effective for quick damage on a crowd and best used against plagas enemies like Cephalos and Duvalias, taking three times the normal damage. Electric rounds can also stun a Garrador, causing it to kneel and expose its back plagas. Combining electric rounds with the Matilda or PSG-1 allows for quick takedowns: stun with electric rounds, then shoot the exposed back plagas. Shooting electric rounds toward the ground in front of your character makes them perform a flinching pose, rendering them invincible to any attack while active.

PSG-1

Special Properties: Semi-auto fire, Level 3 scope zoom

The PSG-1 is the least damaging rifle but offers semi-auto fire by holding down the fire button. It is good for damaging bosses from long range or killing distant enemies to preserve combos. You can spam enemies with shots from this rifle. The PSG-1 is accurate and has the highest scope zoom out of any rifle when fully zoomed in.
