The Cleric — Pathways into Darkness Walkthrough

Enter the Pyramid: Begin with only a flashlight and survival knife. Your parachute failed, separating you from your team. The pyramid is filled with monsters created by the slowly awakening Dreaming God.

Explore and Survive: Navigate 25 levels, battling diverse monsters. Combat is deliberate; running and gunning is not an option. Monsters respawn, ammo is scarce, and you are often under-equipped.

Utilize Resources: Health is regained by resting (risky, speeds up time) or rare blue potions. Blue potions also cure poison, a critical threat.

Engage in Conversations: Use a magic yellow crystal to speak with the dead (mostly from a Nazi expedition). They provide puzzle clues, monster strategies, and story information. Type keywords to get responses.

Solve Puzzles: Many puzzles require items found within the pyramid, such as the red cloak or map.

Collect Items: Find weapons (some with multiple ammo types), crystals with special powers (limited uses, except the yellow crystal), potions, miscellaneous items for puzzles, and treasures that increase score and health. Picking up certain objects grants points, with two points equaling one health point.

Confront the Dreaming God: Reach the bottom level and detonate a nuclear device to stun the god and bury it, preventing Earth's destruction.
