It's a pretty useful skill, and while you can't actually *make* the bolts themselves from scratch, you can totally upgrade regular bolts with different tips to make them way more powerful. You'll need to grab some regular bolts first – any general store that sells ranged gear will have them. Let's break down how to get those fancy tips!

Opal Tipped Bolts
To get these, you'll first need to complete the Shilo Village Quest. Once that's done, head over to Shilo Village and start mining gems. You're looking for Opal Gems. Once you've got some, use a Chisel on them twice, and bam – you'll have two Opal Tips. Then, just use these tips on your regular bolts.

Pearl Tipped Bolts
For these, you'll be doing a bit of fishing. Catch some Oysters, and when you find a Pearl inside, use a Chisel on it twice to get your Pearl Tips. Just like with the Opals, use these tips on regular bolts.

Barbed Tipped Bolts
This one involves the Ranger's Guild. Head in there and start shooting at the targets. Keep at it until you've earned 140 Tickets. You can then exchange these tickets for 30 Barb Tips. Once you have them, use them on your regular bolts to give them that barbed edge.
