Hey there! Fletching in Old School RuneScape is all about turning logs and other materials into ranged weapons like bows and arrows. It's a pretty straightforward skill, and this guide will walk you through making different types of bows, arrows, and even pearl bolts.

Let's break down what you can make and how to get the most experience out of it.

Making Bows

To make bows, you'll need a Knife and the type of logs you want to use. You can find more info on logs in the Woodcutting section. Once you have those, use the Knife on a log and choose whether you want to make a Shortbow or a Longbow. After that, you'll need to spin some Flax into Bow String (this also gives you Crafting experience!). Finally, use the Bow String on the unfinished bow to complete it.

Making Arrows

To craft arrows, you'll need three main components: Shafts, Feathers, and Arrowheads.

Shafts

Grab some logs and a Knife. Use the Knife on a log and select 'Make Arrow Shafts'. You'll get 5 experience for every 10 arrow shafts you make.

Feathers

Feathers can be found in a few ways. You can get them by defeating chickens, or you can buy them from a store. Just remember, you can't attach arrowheads until you've added the feathers to the shafts.

Arrowheads

To make arrowheads, you'll need a specific type of Bar. Take the bar to an anvil and select 'Make Arrow Heads'. Each bar will give you 10 arrowheads.

Finishing the Arrows

Once you have your shafts, feathers, and arrowheads, it's time to put it all together. First, use the Feathers on the Shafts to create unfinished arrows. Then, use the Arrowheads on those unfinished arrows to finally create your arrows!

Making Pearl Bolts

For those who like using crossbows, you can also make Pearl Bolts. You'll get 12.5 experience and need level 34 Fletching for these.

First, you'll need to fish for Oysters, as they might contain Pearls. You can also use a Chisel on an Oyster to try and get Pearls. Once you have your Pearls, buy some regular Crossbow Bolts. Then, use the Pearls on the Crossbow Bolts to create Pearl Crossbow Bolts.
