Tetranadon is a newcomer to Monster Hunter Rise that can pose a significant threat if your armor is not adequate. Defeating it requires adapting to its form changes after eating, which slows its movement but grants new, deadly attacks. Tetranadon can also inflict Water Blight, so bring Nulberries.

Attack Patterns

Bite

Tetranadon approaches with its mouth open for a short-range bite. This attack becomes more dangerous when inflated, dealing area damage around the target.

Tackle

Tetranadon leans forward with its forelegs in the air before dashing towards you. This deals moderate damage, but is easily dodged by moving to the side.

Charge

Tetranadon gains distance and raises its forelegs higher than in a Tackle before performing a fast, long-range dash. This is one of its more damaging attacks and is used more frequently when enraged. Be aware of its large area of effect.

Double Swipe

Tetranadon raises its left foreleg to swipe, then quickly follows up with a swipe from the other foreleg. This attack is easy to avoid and spot, but can deal moderate damage if caught by both swipes.

Inflate

Tetranadon buries its head in the ground to eat, causing it to inflate. This signature attack does not deal damage directly but grants new attacks and increases damage output at the cost of speed. Its torso becomes a weak point that must be damaged to force it back to its regular form.

Hand Slap

Tetranadon rises on its hindlegs with forelegs open, then slams them together, dealing massive damage in an area around it. This attack is easy to read and can be avoided using Wirebugs to dash to the side, creating an opening.

Jump Attack

Tetranadon jumps high into the air and crashes down from a long range, dealing impact damage and inflicting tremor around the landing area. This attack has a massive range and requires preparation, such as using Wirebugs, blocking, or preparing a counter.

Leg Slam

While inflated, Tetranadon raises one hindleg high and slams it down, dealing major damage and causing a shockwave around it. This attack is difficult to avoid.
