Chameleos is a tricky monster in Monster Hunter Rise due to its ability to camouflage itself, becoming almost invisible. Its attacks often involve toxins that deal double the damage of standard poison.

Weaknesses:

• Weakpoints: Head, Forelegs, Tail
• Elemental Weaknesses: Fire, Dragon
• Ailment Weaknesses: Blast, Fireblight

Attack Patterns:

Invisibility Attacks: Chameleos frequently cloaks itself, making it difficult to predict its next move. It can perform most attacks while invisible.

Tongue Lash: Chameleos raises its head before a quick tongue lash. This attack can steal spiritbird pollen from your Petalance.

Bite: With its head tilted and mouth agape, Chameleos lunges forward to bite, potentially stealing spiritbird pollen.

Rock Throw: Chameleos raises its tail and slams it down, launching three rocks in quick succession.

Bodyslam: Chameleos stands on its hind legs and slams its body down. It can perform this twice in a row. After hitting the ground, it is stunned briefly, offering an opening for attacks on its head.

Toxin Spit: Chameleos leans back and spits a ball of toxin, which leaves a mist on the ground if it hits. It can spit up to two projectiles.

Toxin Ring: Chameleos flies into the air and sprays toxin on the floor in a ring. It can then expand or contract the ring by flapping its wings.

Toxin Breath: Chameleos arches its head back and unleashes a line of toxin breath directly in front of it.

Toxin Hurl: Chameleos pushes its chest forward and vomits toxin in an upward trajectory.

Erratic Toxin Hurl: Standing on its hind legs with its chest pushed out, Chameleos spews multiple toxin balls around itself before moving forward, hurling toxin erratically.

Toxin Blast: Chameleos spits four toxin orbs onto the floor and then blasts the mist forward with its wings.

Toxin Slam: Chameleos lowers its head, lunges forward, and slams its wings to the ground, creating a toxin mist.

Toxin Drop: Chameleos flies into the air and drops a toxin payload that expands in a circular pattern upon impact.

Tongue Lunge: Chameleos leans its head forward for a lunge.
