Learn Mizutsune's weaknesses, elemental susceptibilities, and attack patterns in Monster Hunter Rise. Master this slippery beast to overcome its watery assaults!

Alright, let's talk about Mizutsune! This Fanged Wyvern is a real slippery customer, especially in High Rank where it can easily cart unprepared hunters. Its signature move is creating these annoying bubbles that make the ground treacherous, and it's super agile. Plus, it can blast you with pressurized water. You'll be fighting it in the Shrine Ruins, so keep an eye on your surroundings!

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Parts: Head, Dorsal Fin are weak points.
  • Elements: Thunder and Dragon are your best bets.
  • Ailments: Blast and Thunderblight are effective.

Attack Patterns:

  1. Bite: Mizutsune has two bite attacks. If you're close, it'll snap its jaws in your direction. If it's further away, it'll twist its neck, open its mouth wide, and then chomp forward twice. Watch out for those chomps!
  2. Foreleg Pound: It'll rear up on its hind legs, raise one foreleg high, and then pounce forward, slamming it down. This one hits hard, so be ready to dodge.
  3. Tail Slam: Mizutsune crouches and hisses, then leaps forward and to the side before slamming its tail down. Warning: Getting hit by this attack will disable your wirebugs until you recover, so try to avoid it!
  4. Tail Swipe: It faces you, lifts its body, twists, and swings its tail upwards. This can also send bubbles flying forward.
  5. Dash: Mizutsune lifts its body briefly, then dives and dashes in a straight line, leaving a trail of bubbles. When enraged, it can do this twice! If it looks tired (blue fur), it might collapse after dashing, giving you an opening.
  6. Spinning Slam: It looks like it might shoulder bash, but then spins counter-clockwise and lunges forward, sending bubbles flying. Just like the Tail Slam, getting hit here will disable your wirebugs.
  7. Tail Lash: A rarer variation where Mizutsune looks sideways (head on your right this time), spins on the spot, and lashes its tail out, spreading bubbles. Be careful if you're close, as its spinning body can also hit you.
  8. Rocket: You'll hear a metallic spring sound, and Mizutsune leaps back and curls up. Then, with a
