Walkthrough
- 1Go to Base Camp and speak to the assembled group, specifically to Sgt. Duke. You'll have to "double confirm" to proceed. This action is a point of no return.
- 2Chrono Tower:
- 3Vestibule - Walk forward and enjoy the dialogue.
- 4Guardian Chamber - After the robots finish, proceed through the next door.
- 5Statuary Hall - Continue walking.
- 6Nexus of Hope - Scan the statue to receive Chatoya's final message, then proceed.
- 7Lower Chamber - Scan the hologram above the dome to open it. Step inside.
- 8Pinnacle - New Scan available. Roll up the Psychic Track to the top. Inside the structure, tap the console to open the pinnacle. Step forward to begin the final boss fight.
- 9FINAL BOSS: SYLUX
- Sylux floats and is protected by Psychic Energy, making him invulnerable to direct attacks. His three cables have transformed into tentacle arms.
- 10Sylux's Attacks (Phase 1):
- Group the arms and slam them down in front of him.
- 11Slam the arms down individually around him.
- 12Group the arms and spin them around at floor level (jump over them).
- 13Tactic (Phase 1): Shoot the tips of Sylux's arms until they droop. Use regular Beam shots while locked onto Sylux and adjusting your aim to target the arms. Once an arm droops, disengage, target the arm, and use Psychic Lasso to pull it loose. Repeat for all three arms.
- 14Once all arms are removed, Sylux becomes vulnerable. Use Super Missiles and the Super Thunder Shot to deal damage. Be quick when pulling arms, as they will regenerate and continue attacking if not removed promptly.
- 15Squadmate Health: Monitor your group's health. If a squadmate is downed, run over and heal them by targeting them in Psychic Visor and getting close. If anyone loses all health, it's game over.
- 16Sylux's Attacks (Phase 2 - Fire Dragon): After taking damage, Sylux converts his arms into a "fire dragon" form.
- Spits fire globs that land on the ground.
- 17Uses lingering fire lasers.
- 18Attempts to grab Samus with a dragon head, causing considerable damage.
- 19Tactic (Phase 2): Shoot the dragon heads to destroy them, or survive until they revert to normal green arms. Causing more damage can speed up this reversion. Use Super Thunder Shot or Super Missiles.
- 20After the fire dragon heads revert, deal with four green arms. Shoot and pull them as before, then attack Sylux.
- 21Sylux's Attacks (Phase 3 - Ice Dragon): Next are four "ice dragon" heads.
- Shoot ice blasts that can freeze you (mash buttons to escape).
- 22Use air to suck everyone towards Sylux for contact damage.
- 23After the ice dragon heads revert, deal with four green arms. .
- 24Sylux's Attacks (Phase 4 - Buzzsaw/Spike):
- Sylux spins rapidly and "buzzsaws" towards Samus. Get into Morph Ball and boost away laterally to avoid. Steer the buzzsaw away from squadmates if possible.
- 25An arm forms a spike and stabs.
- 26After dealing with the buzzsaw/spike attacks, deal with four green arms. .
- 27Sylux's Attacks (Phase 5 - Electric Dragon): Now face five "electric dragon" heads.
- Charge up to cause lightning strikes. Observe the ground to see where they will land.
- 28Focus on healing squadmates and surviving this onslaught. Using the Super Thunder Shot early can reduce the time spent in this form.
- 29Once Sylux reverts to green arms, destroy all five as before. This phase ends when Sylux's health reaches 60%.
- 30??? (Astral Tunnel)
- The fight moves to a new setting where you are alone and have limited movement capabilities, floating in an astral tunnel.
- 31Sylux is at a distance. You can shift position with the Left Stick and aim with the Right Stick (or Gyro).
- 32Sylux's Attacks (Astral Tunnel):
- A series of large green circular flat shields (shift to move around them).
- 33A charged-up version of his Shock Cannon (difficult to dodge).
- 34A pair of spinning "bars" of energy (difficult to dodge). Switch to Control Beam and hit Sylux to deactivate these beams.
- 35Basic shots with his Shock Cannon (difficult to dodge).
- 36Return fire at Sylux between attacks. The Super Thunder Shot is the best option, followed by Super Missiles.
- 37As you damage Sylux, he drops health. Steer into health drops or charge up to pull them to you.
- 38This phase ends when Sylux's health reaches 50%.
Tips
- Be quick about pulling Sylux's arms loose; they regenerate if left too long.
- Don't be afraid to use your most powerful weapons like the Super Thunder Shot and Super Missiles, as there is nothing left to save them for.
- If you wish to explore for items after seeing the ending, do NOT save the game after the final mission completion prompt. Your autosave will be overwritten past the point of no return.
- Steer the buzzsaw attack away from your squadmates to prevent them from taking damage.
- Use the Super Thunder Shot in the astral tunnel phase to end it quickly.
