Walkthrough
- 1In the Main Shaft - Level 1, you'll need to traverse the mines as the elevator is stopped. Open the door and go around the outside of the elevator clockwise (using double jump) to find a ledge with a Spider track. Roll up to the next level and head counter-clockwise. Before crossing the gap on the Spider track, continue counter-clockwise to the west side of the shaft. Jump to a ledge and roll up the Spider track. Use Bomb Jumps to make it to the top, where you'll find a MISSILE EXPANSION (35/48).
- 2Go back clockwise to the east side and roll up the track leading across the big gap. You will need to move down and Boost across to the other track, then Bomb Jump up to the upper part again.
- 3On the other side, rev up the Spinner to extend the bridge. Your allies will grab the energy shield; fire a fully charged Beam at the door to open it.
- 4Head through the Entry Tunnel and into the door on the left.
- 5In the Side Hall, you'll find a Save Station to your left and your way forward to the right.
- 6In the Command Center, scan the yellow part of the console to get the map of the area. Set a Bomb in the Bomb Slot on the south gate to open it. Watch out for bats. Go to the suspended container on your right (west), scan it, then pull down the bottom to reveal a SHOT EXPANSION (31/44).
- 7Head east and open the energy shield as before.
- 8Proceed through Transit Tunnel A, dealing with Dartwings, and head to the next room.
- 9In the Drilling Site, scan the yellow console to activate it. Tap the hologram to turn on the drill, then head to the rear of the drill and enter the turbine as a ball. Boost around it clockwise to start it up.
- 10Warning: The hinge will jam. Hop onto the nearby platforms, scan the hinge, and pull out the pin to drop the drill downward. You will then be attacked by Maul Grievers. Ice the glowing "Bomber" variants before destroying them to avoid calling more Grievers.
- 11After defeating approximately twenty Grievers, jump into the hole created by the drill.
- 12In Natural Cavern A, head past the bugs into the next room.
- 13In Broyrral Deposit, use Missiles to blast the green rock, which will summon Maul Grievers. Ice the Bomber variant before destroying it, then clear the remaining enemies.
- 14In Garnbocask Site A, watch out for Pop Crawlers. Blast the small pulps on the side of the Garnbocask to expose the main pulp, then shoot it to destroy it.
- 15In Garnbocask Site B, avoid agitating the stationary Shriekbugs to prevent summoning Grievers. Destroy three more pulps to clear the way. One is next to the main pulp, and two are in side caverns. Use the Control Beam to reach and destroy these pulps. Smash the main pulp, then drop down.
- 16Use your regular Beam to scatter the Snare Weed ahead of you in Natural Cavern B and move on.
- 17In the Grotto, pull off the webbing and hop into the hole to transition to the next level.
- 18In Lower Grotto (Level 2), blast the bugs and their Hives with fire.
- 19In Narrow Crevice, Missile the wall to take out responding Grievers. After crossing a crevice, look to the right to find crawlers. Swing off the first crawler, then attach to the latter two to reach a ledge with a MISSILE EXPANSION (36/48).
- 20Proceed down the tunnel, pulling the webbing in front of the door.
- 21In the Construction Site, burn the webbing up and to the left. Use a Psychic Bomb and throw it to the Bomb Slot behind the webbing to power up the door. Proceed through and burn more webbing to reach a digger vehicle. Burn the web on its controls and scan them. Armstrong will take the wheel.
