Walkthrough
- 1Clear the blockade and exit the party.
- 2Ignore Zombies (Zs), use the gravity gun (GG) to move past them and up the stairs.
- 3Meet Papa Grigori and locate the gas tank near the building's entrance (EP). Turn the valve to kill the fire.
- 4Enter the building, use the GG to move through room #1 to the stairs.
- 5Drop the explosive barrel (DB) at the base of the stairs.
- 6Use the GG to move bureaus to block access to the stairs.
- 7Proceed up the stairs, using the GG to move Headcrabs (HCs) or avoid them.

- 17Climb the ladders and planking into the 2nd floor of the next building.
- 18Enter the room with Zs and HCs on the ground floor, drop DB to them.
- 19Use the GG to remove boards from the XP. Reacquire (RA) DB and exit the building.
- 20From your position, handle the 6 local Zs.
- 21Proceed to the lever of car trap #2, drop DB near it, and pull the lever.
- 22Quickly hop onto car #2 before it rises too high.
- 23As the car stops, RA DB. Move over the car and planks into the 2nd floor window.
- 24Exit the 2nd floor room to the room with explosive barrels (EBs) and a spider.
- 25Advance on the spider while holding DB; it will lodge itself against your XP.
- 26If the spider lodges in the XP niche and DB is nearby, the door will only open into the walkway. Drop DB prior to the XP niche to give the spider room to exit.
- 27If the spider moves back into the walkway, enter the room, RA DB, and close the door.
- 28If the spider refuses to move away, kill it.
Tips
- If you don't move or detonate the EB at the base of the stairs, it can explode and destroy DB.
- Grigori may or may not shoot any of the Zs with this approach.
- There's always a route through the mess, sometimes convoluted, but it's rare for a Z to make it into the short hallway. If it does, you can DB it or backstep and lure it to one side then end run it.
- It is a rare occurrence to have a Z in the short hallway. The Z can be drawn to a side of the hallway; backstep a few feet to make space and prevent the 2 PS from dropping down, then pick a wall to hug. When you have drawn it away, sprint by it, you may take a hit or 2.
- DB has problems riding car traps up; if you hold onto DB as the car raises, you get dragged off. Once car #2 is at a stable elevation, DB behaves.
- There are new kinks with retrieving DB from car #2 due to game updates. If DB is near or directly below the rear bumper, you can GG it but lose grip above the ground. After a few tries and Z interference, it moves far enough away to come up.
- Invisible barriers may prevent DB from completing Nova Prospekt, possibly due to a Steam patch/update.
- Methods for dealing with Zs and DB:
- Kill all and launch DB through the 2nd floor XP.
- Kill 6, evade 3, and launch DB through the XP.
- Kill all, leave DB on the ground, then pull it up from planks or cars.
- Leave all Zs be, drop DB near car trap #2 activation lever, activate car trap #2, sprint to and jump onto the trunk before it rises. Ride car #2 up, RA DB from your new vantage point.
