Guide to Gongaga in final fantasy vii: defeat Reno and Rude, get Titan Materia, and explore Gongaga Village.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Make your way through Junon and back across the sea. On the return trip, you do not need to pay a fee.
  2. 2
Drive the buggy south across the river to reach the Gold Saucer.
  3. 3
South of the Gold Saucer, cross another river that the buggy can traverse.
  4. 4
Immediately turn east to find a house at the end of a peninsula. This is where you can turn in Mythril for items.
  5. 5
South of the river, you will find a town in the jungle. Head to this town to reach a crude road through the jungle.
  6. 6
Continue north to a fork and overhear Reno and Rude. Elena will arrive and identify you as enemies.
  7. 7
Boss Battle: Reno and Rude. Reno and Rude are not particularly tough. Their single-target attacks deal around 150 damage. Reno's "Turk Light" attack is more dangerous, dealing over 200 damage. Rude can cast "Cure" to heal. The challenge is that if you defeat one, the other will leave. To get XP, AP, and Gil from both, you must defeat them simultaneously. Use Sense Materia to scout them, then use powerful attacks like "Beta", "Aqualung", or Summon Materia when both are weak.
  8. 8
After the battle, proceed north-east to the reactor, passing through a desolate landscape.
  9. 9
At the reactor, head north to reach the core. You will be interrupted by Scarlet and Tseng.
  10. 10
After Scarlet inspects the reactor and leaves, search the area where she was to find the Titan Materia, an earth elemental Summon Materia.
  11. 11
Return to the jungle path. At the fork, head north-west to find a piece of Deathblow Materia lying on the ground.
  12. 12
Backtrack to the fork and head north-east to reach Gongaga village.
  13. 13
Explore the village, which consists of five small houses and shops.
  14. 14
In the southernmost house, if Aeris and/or Tifa are in your party, townsfolk will ask about Zack. Aeris and Tifa will leave the house, and you can speak with them outside. Your dialogue choices affect approval: saying "Poor guy" to Aeris gains +1 Aeris; saying "…jealous…envious…" nets +2 Aeris. Talking to Tifa gains +1 Tifa. Ignoring them results in -3 Aeris and -3 Tifa.
  15. 15
North of Zack's parents' house is an item shop. You can also shop here.
  16. 16
To the north-west is an accessory shop that sells Materia, including Mystify Materia and Time Materia for 6000 Gil each.
  17. 17
On the next level, a merchant sells weapons, but nothing particularly noteworthy.
