Inferno, Ketu, Rahu

Master the Inferno, Ketu, and Rahu boss fight in Final Fantasy VI! Learn enemy weaknesses, effective strategies, and how to overcome their powerful attacks like Atomic Rays and Meteor.

Alright, you've made it to a pretty tough section of Kefka's Tower, facing off against Inferno, Ketu, and Rahu. Don't let the names scare you; we'll get through this together!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Inferno: Uses basic attacks, Sobat (triple Attack), Thundara, Thundaga, Gigavolt, Shockwave, Magitek Barrier, Atomic Rays, Delta Attack, and Meteor. It seems to have a weird tendency to use attacks it's weak against, so keep that in mind!
• Ketu: Uses basic attacks, Slash (double Attack), and Metal Cutter.
• Rahu: Uses basic attacks and Rapier (a basic attack with 50% more power).

Strategy:

• First things first, get your buffs up! Cast Hastega on your party and Slowga on the enemies. Mighty Guard is also a good idea to help mitigate damage.
• Since Inferno likes to use attacks it's weak to, definitely equip Reflect on your party. This can turn their own magic against them!
• Now, here's the key: don't worry about Ketu and Rahu. They're just there to distract you and they'll regenerate anyway. Your entire focus needs to be on Inferno.
• For attacking Inferno, lightning-based spells and items are your best bet. Think Thundaga, Ramuh, or Lightning Scrolls.
• Don't bother trying to exploit Ketu or Rahu's weaknesses; just blast Inferno with everything you've got. A few well-placed Thundagas on Inferno's main body (don't target all enemies) should do the trick.

After the Fight:

Once you've dealt with Inferno, head south and through the door. Keep going south through another door to emerge outside. Follow the east path south to find a valuable Megalixir. Then, take the west path, bypassing a door for now, to find a chest that'll help Party #1 progress further.

Head back to that door you bypassed and go through it. In the next area, equip any gear that protects against Death or Confuse status effects, heal up your party, and prepare for the next dragon encounter.
