Learn the best strategies and tips for defeating the powerful Demon boss in Final Fantasy VI. Prepare your party and overcome this challenging foe!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Attacks: Basic Attack, Tyrfing, Firaga, Aero, Southern Cross, Flare Star, Meteor, Metal Cutter, Stop.
• Key Threat: Meteor can wipe your party if HP is low. Stop can lead to easy KOs from Blaster.

Strategy:

• As soon as the fight starts, hit the Demon with Stop. This is crucial to prevent it from unleashing its most devastating attacks.
• Immediately follow up with Hastega for your party and cast Mighty Guard (or ensure Shell status is active on everyone). This will significantly boost your party's survivability.
• Once your buffs are up and the Demon is stopped, unleash your most powerful offensive spells. Think Blizzaga, Thundaga, Flare, Meteor, and Ultima.
• Keep an eye on your HP, especially after Meteor. You'll need to heal frequently to survive its onslaught.
• Continue to reapply Stop if it wears off and keep the pressure on with your strongest attacks.

After the Battle:

• Once the Demon is defeated, head north to the Save Point. Make sure to use it to record your progress!
• After saving, drop down into the hole to the north.
• When you land, step on the switch. The walkthrough indicates you should still be on the switch.
• Go south and through the door to return inside the tower.
• Continue north through another door, then north again.
• Go north a fourth time, and you'll reach a statue. Heal your party here and prepare for the next fight, as there are more bosses ahead!
