Learn the safest strategies to defeat the Meteor Parasite in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, including its three forms and deadly attacks.
Walkthrough
- 1Form 1 & 2 Strategy: When the Meteor Parasite retreats into the Meteor (happens every 50 HP lost), position yourself against the Meteor. This opens flaps, but you'll be safe from the lasers if you are against it. Once it reappears, position yourself between the two rocks in front of it. Perform a 1-2-3 Combo Attack (or just two strikes to be safer). After the Parasite raises its arms, signaling the pink magic circle attack, move slightly south past the rocks and wait for the explosion. Rush back in and repeat the combo. This method is slow but minimizes damage from tentacles and the Parasite. Heal if your HP drops below three hearts.
- 2Form 3 Strategy: In this cramped area, the left Tentacle spits fire (weak to ice) and the right Tentacle spits ice and poison (weak to fire). The Meteor Parasite uses Hell's Little Pink Circle of Death (HLPCoD) and a deadly bullet spray attack.
- 3Form 3 Tentacle Takedown: Use six Blizzara spells on the left Tentacle. Be patient, as its body slams can interrupt spell charging. Once defeated, attack the Parasite with a 1-2-3 Combo Attack (two strikes recommended).
- 4Form 3 Parasite Evasion: After attacking, the Parasite will charge the pink circle. Run to the back of the arena (south) and wait for the explosion. Rush back in to attack. You will need to deal with the right Tentacle's poison; constant movement should keep you safe.
- 5Poison Management: Use the Clear spell if poisoned. Never let your HP drop below four hearts; if it drops below five, use Cure. If HP is at one or two hearts, use Phoenix Downs if necessary.
- 6Repeat and Survive: Continue the strike/run strategy. When the left Tentacle respawns, defeat it again. Avoid the Parasite's bullet spray attack by moving constantly.
- 7Retreat and Heal: After losing another 50 HP, the Parasite retreats and fires a huge amount of bullets. Heal fully and run until it reappears.
- 8Final Push: Continue the safe, slow strategy until the Meteor Parasite is defeated.
Tips
- Focus on the Parasite and its immediate threats; Tentacles take a long time to respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death) and are not worth eliminating both.
- Prioritize survival; always keep your HP high, especially in Form 3.
- The strategy is slow but safe, minimizing the risk of taking significant damage.
- If you get below three hearts in Form 1 & 2, HEAL. If you get below four hearts in Form 3, HEAL. If you get below five hearts in Form 3, use Cure. If HP is at one or two hearts in Form 3, use Phoenix Downs if necessary.
