Learn about the Slow, Haste, and Stop spells in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, including their Magicite requirements and effects.

Graviga Spell Mechanics

Graviga is a powerful spell in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles with several uses. It can reduce an enemy's HP by a quarter if they are weak to Gravity, or by a tenth if they are not. Some enemies are completely immune to Gravity spells. Graviga can also bring flying enemies down to the ground, making them easier to defeat as most cannot attack while airborne. Both Gravira and Graviga require the same Magicite. To cast Graviga, player two must cast their spell within a third of a second after player one, and player three must also cast their spell within a third of a second after player one.

Slow Spells

Slow spells in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles reduce an enemy's movement speed and double their spell casting time. These spells can also be cast on yourself, doubling both your spell charge time and focus attack charge time.

  • Slow: Requires Life and Fire/Blizzard/Thunder Magicite. Radius is Little. Can be cast as a single spell. To cast, player two must cast their spell between a third and two-thirds of a second after player one.
  • Slowga: Requires Life and a combo of two Fire/Blizzard/Thunder Magicite. Radius is Big. Cannot be cast as a single spell. To cast, players two and three must cast their spells between a third and two-thirds of a second after player one.

Haste Spells

Haste spells in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles significantly increase your own speed by 1.5 times and halve the charge time for magic and focus attacks. However, casting Haste can be costly, especially in multiplayer mode.

  • Haste: Requires Life and two Cure Magicite. Radius is Little. Can be cast as a single spell.
  • Hastega: Requires Life and three Cure Magicite. Radius is Big. Cannot be cast as a single spell.

Both Haste and Hastega are fused with the same timing: players two through four must cast their spell between a third and two-thirds of a second after player one casts theirs. Haste costs three Command Slots to use in single-player mode.

Stop Spell

The Stop spell in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is unique as there are no upgraded versions like Stopra or Stopaga. Its power is limited, likely to prevent it from being overpowered.

Tips
  • To cast Slow, ensure your Life spell is placed ABOVE your Fire/Blizzard/Thunder spell to avoid casting Holy.
  • Haste is highly recommended for increasing your speed in difficult battles.
  • Avoid using Haste in magic-intensive battles in single-player due to its high Command Slot cost.
