Walkthrough

    From the start, head north and defeat the Lizard Warrior on the platform. Use Holy spells and have Cure magic ready.

    Open the chest to the left of the platform.

    Exit Daemon's Court, return to the World Map, re-enter, and collect any items.

    Go west to a set of stairs leading to a wooden area. Head south, defeat enemies, and open the chest.

    After defeating the swarm, continue forward past the descending stairs to the end of the area. Defeat the Lizards and open the chest.

    Backtrack to the descending stairs you passed. Head down, defeat enemies, and go past the next set of steps to open a chest.

    Return to the previous set of stairs and climb down.

    Go up to a small platform, defeat enemies. Head south and climb the stairs.

    Go north, defeat enemies, and open the chest for a random Moon Pendant or Chocobo Pocket. Some enemies may drop mythril.

    Go down the stairs and head north. Defeat the Wraith with Holy and the Killer Bee.

    Walk under the stairs to your right when you reach the back wall to enter the Moogle Nest.

    Collect any keys dropped by random enemies. Place them in the pedestals in front of the boss door (slightly left of the entrance).

    Once both keys are in place, heal and enter to fight the Lizard King.

Boss Fight: Lizard King

Strategy:

  • The Lizard King itself isn't the main threat; its accompanying enemies (Coeurls and Lizard Skirmishers) are. Defeat them first.
  • The Lizard King is weak to Holy and resistant to Fire, Slow, and Stop. Blizzard and Thunder spells are effective.
  • The King has two main attacks: a powerful claw swipe and a projectile attack similar to the Lizard Skirmisher's. Keep moving to avoid the claw and stay out of the direct line of fire for projectiles.
  • Utilize the red switches in the arena corners. Standing on them activates saw blades that damage all nearby entities, including the boss.
  • If you have a Level 3 Magic spell (Fiagra, Blizzaga, Thundaga) from defeating all enemies in Daemon's Court, it can be very helpful. Blizzard magic is particularly good for freezing.

Cycles Two and Three:

  • During the second cycle, the Lizard King will shoot fire.
  • During the third cycle, it will shoot ice.
  • These elemental attacks can burn and freeze respectively but are generally easy to avoid.

Post-Daemon's Court Cutscene:

  • After leaving Daemon's Court, a cutscene will play with Sol Racht warning you about a dark flan.
