Master the final battle against the Meteor Parasite in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Learn strategies for both forms, including required stats, spells, and tentacle management.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Collect your stamp and exit the area.
  2. 2
    Continue southwest down the path.
  3. 3
Shatter the crystal near the treasure chest and go east.
  4. 4
Prepare for a difficult Miasma Crystal shattering.
  5. 5
Defeat the two Tentacles guarding the Miasma Crystal; they cast Slowga. It's best to defeat them from a long range while your chalice's force field is active.
  6. 6
Once the Tentacles are defeated, quickly shatter the Miasma Crystal.
  7. 7
Heal yourself, ensure you are at full health, and ready powerful spells.
  8. 8
Run southeast into the boss arena.

BOSS (Form 1): Meteor Parasite

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Strength: 55+
  • Defense: 65+
  • Magic: 40+
  • Memories: 80+
  • Required Spells: Fira/Firaga, Blizzara/Blizzaga, Cure, Clear.
  • Recommended Items: Phoenix Downs.
  • Vulnerable Spot: A small, swinging tentacle.
  • Ineffective Spells: Slow, Stop, Gravity, Holy.

Phases:

  1. Form 1: Meteor Parasite with two Tentacles on each side of the arena.

Strategy:

  • The Meteor Parasite's vulnerable spot is a small, swinging tentacle.
  • Form 1 attacks:
    • Poison spell: Medium radius, requires moving out of the way.
    • Body slam: Causes serious damage if defense is not high.
  • The spinning larva-like things surrounding the Parasite can poison you if touched. Do not get too close.
  • Use your weapon or magic for damage. Long-range focus attacks are good, but charging can be interrupted.
  • Level three magic (Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga) is recommended for this form.
  • The two Tentacles on the sides of the arena are crucial:
    • Left Tentacle: Spits poison/ice.
    • Right Tentacle: Spits fire.
  • Ignoring the Tentacles guarantees instant death.
  • Do not defeat both Tentacles simultaneously as they respawn quickly (about 60 seconds).
  • Focus on defeating the Right Tentacle first with Blizzara (approx. 6 hits). Blizzara can freeze it, preventing attacks.
  • Once the Right Tentacle is down, attack the Meteor Parasite with magic or weapons. Both may only do 1 damage per hit (450 HP total).
  • When the Right Tentacle respawns, heal, use Clear, and defeat it again.
  • Continue attacking the Meteor Parasite.
  • Ignore the Left Tentacle.
  • NEVER attack the Parasite when both Tentacles are active.
  • Inflict 150 points of damage to trigger Form 2.

BOSS (Form 2): Meteor Parasite

Phases:

  1. Form 2: Lower level arena, larger area. Tentacles are farther apart.

Strategy:

  • Form 2 attacks:
    • Hell's Little Pink Circle of Death (TM): Medium radius explosion, can hit anywhere. Appears about a second after a small sound cue. Cannot be blocked, interrupts magic charging, and can knock you down. Avoid this at all costs.
    • Second attack: Rarely used, easy to avoid.
  • The Tentacles are farther apart, making it easier to manage one while dealing with the other.
  • Try to minimize hits from Hell's Little Pink Circle of Death (TM).
