Fallout 2: Quest South Walkthrough

Alright, so this next chunk of the game is all about heading south to grab some seriously good gear that'll make your life a whole lot easier. We're talking about a trip to San Francisco first, then down to Navarro to snag the Advanced Power Armor and some other goodies. You don't *have* to do this right away, but it's a really solid idea to grab this stuff after you've dealt with Vault City and Gecko. Trust me, that Power Armor is a game-changer.

Walkthrough

First things first, you need to make your way to San Francisco. Just get there safely – no need to rush or take unnecessary risks. Once you arrive in the city, do yourself a favor and save your game. You'll thank me later.

Now, find Matt. He's a Brotherhood of Steel guard hanging out in San Francisco. Chat him up and accept his quest to find the Vertibird plans. Make sure to save again after you agree to take the job.

Next up is Navarro. Again, just travel there safely. Upon arrival, look for Chris, the attendant at the Gas Station. Your goal here is to get the password from him.

With the password in hand, it's time to enter the Navarro base. This is where the real loot is. You'll want to grab the Advanced Power Armor – this is the most crucial item. You can also pick up the Vertibird plans, a Super Sledgehammer, some decent lockpicks, a few books, and some combat armor. While all that is nice, the Power Armor is the absolute must-have.

Quest Experience/Reward:

Getting the password from Chris nets you 1500 XP.
Finding the Vertibird plans gives you another 3500 XP.
Finally, returning the Vertibird plans to the Brotherhood of Steel will reward you with a massive 20000 XP and, more importantly, access to all Brotherhood of Steel bases.
