    Enter the Toxic Caves and kill all geckos using your spear and/or the Pipe Rifle.

    On the first level, find the southern room containing boots, stimpacks, and RadX. Collect these items.

    Proceed to the second level.

    Defeat the numerous golden geckos on the second level using the Pipe Rifle and spear.

    Locate Smiley in the easternmost part of the second level.

    Talk to Smiley and inform him that Ardin is waiting for you. He will join your party as a temporary NPC (Non-Player Character).
