Your guide to clearing the raider camp in Fallout 2. Learn how to find dog tags, crack the safe, and navigate the trapped exit and caves.

Alright, so you've stumbled upon a raider camp. First things first, head inside and make your way down that ladder. Time to clear out these raiders – it's not too tough, especially if you've got some powered armor on. Just make sure to take them all out.

Your main objective here is that locked safe you'll spot to the northeast. To get it open, you'll need to find three dog tags. These little guys are hidden away in footlockers and regular lockers scattered around. Your best bet is to search the lone lockers you'll find near the beds – that's where the dog tags are usually stashed. Opening these lockers can be a bit tricky; I managed it with a 60% Lockpick skill and the extended lockpick set, so keep that in mind. Once you've got all three tags, you can use them to open the safe. Just select the option to open it using the numbers on the tags. Don't forget to grab the account book from inside the safe, and snag any other useful loot while you're at it.

Now, time to make your exit. Head out of the raider camp to the left. Be warned, this exit is heavily trapped, and there are two locked doors blocking your way. After you've navigated the camp, you'll find yourself in a cave that's also loaded with traps. Your best bet is to either make a run for it through the left side, or head a bit north towards the manhole with a ladder, and then veer left. If you decide to go down that ladder, you'll run into a bunch of radscorpions, but you might also find some items hidden among the bones, especially in the southern parts of the caves. Once you're done exploring, it's time to head for Vault City.
