The Grey House

Discover secrets at The Grey House in Fable: find Silver Keys, a Demon Door, and battle the Undead. Your guide to loot and lore!

Alright, so you've stumbled upon The Grey House. It's not a main quest objective, but hey, you're right here, so you might as well pop in and see what's what. Think of it as a little side-quest for some extra goodies!

Right outside the house itself, there are a few bits and bobs you can snag. Keep an eye out for a scarecrow chilling nearby – give it a good search, and you'll find a Tallin Clan Arm Tattoo Card. Also, head north from the house to a small pond. There's a Demon Door hanging out there, but more importantly, if you fancy a spot of fishing in that pond, you can reel in a Silver Key.

• Demon Door #6: This one's a bit of a romantic. It's located at the north end of the path at The Grey House. To get it to open, you need to be married to someone with a title – a regular wife won't cut it. Your best bet is to marry Lady Grey herself. Once you've tied the knot, come back here, and the door will grant you access to the Lost Garden and the Ronok The Axe reward.
• Silver Key #11: You can find this key in The Grey House area. Just head to the pond near the Demon Door and fish in the water. You'll snag this key right out of the ripples.

Once you've had your fill of the outside, it's time to head inside the house. Be warned, though – as soon as you step in, you'll be swarmed by a whole bunch of Undead Soldiers. They hit pretty hard, but thankfully, they're a bit on the slow side. You can use the environment to your advantage, ducking behind cover for some free shots. Oh, and if you've got any fire spells or attacks, now's the time to use them – these guys are super weak to fire!

Here's a pro-tip: if you manage to take down the leader of the undead (it's the biggest and toughest one), the rest of them will just crumble and disappear. Plus, the doors leading down to the cellar outside will pop open. Before you go spelunking in the cellar, though, make sure you loot the house thoroughly. You'll find a Ruby in a chest, an Ages of Skill Potion in a cupboard, and a Dusty Notebook along with another Tallin Clan Leg Tattoo Card tucked away in the bookcases. Head up to the second floor, and you'll find a Normal Beard Hairstyle Card, an Ages of the Will Potion, and a chest that requires Silver Keys.

• Silver Key Chest #4: Located in The Grey House, this chest requires you to have collected 10 Silver Keys. If you meet that requirement, you'll be rewarded with a Sharpening Augmentation.
