Alright, so you're just starting out in Albion, and the very first things you'll be battling are the local insects. Don't worry, they're not exactly dragon-level threats! They mostly just fly or crawl around, and some might even make little buzzing noises. They're all pretty weak, so you'll get the hang of combat with them in no time. Let's break down the creepy crawlies you'll encounter:

Small Wasp

These little guys are a total pushover. You can just wait for them to get close and tap 'em, or if you prefer, zap 'em with an arrow or a spell like Fireball or Lightning. They've got 20 Health, give you 5 Experience and 2 Renown when you defeat them. They're weak to Sharpening and Lightning Augmentations. Their sting does 10 Damage. You'll find them hanging out in the Greatwood Entrance, and they're also summoned by the Wasp Queen during the 'Wasp Queen Menace' Quest.

Blue Wasp

Don't let the color fool you; these wasps hit just as hard as the regular ones (10 Damage sting). They have 30 Health, and defeating them nets you 8 Experience and 3 Renown. Like the Small Wasps, they're weak to Sharpening and Lightning Augmentations. I've seen these chilling in Greatwood Lake.

Red Wasp

These are pretty much the same as the others, their red color just indicates their health pool, not a power boost. They have 50 Health and their sting does 10 Damage. You'll get 12 Experience and 4 Renown for taking them down. They share the same weaknesses to Sharpening and Lightning Augmentations. You'll find them in the Greatwood Entrance area, just like the Small Wasps, but, you know, red.

Black Scorpion

These scorpions pack a bit more punch, dealing 70 Damage with their sting. They have 100 Health, and you'll gain 12 Experience and 3 Renown for defeating them. They're weak to Sharpening and Piercing Augmentations. You won't usually find them in huge swarms, so they're not too overwhelming. They can be summoned by Nymphs, or you'll see them in the Arena when you fight Arachanox.

Stag Beetle

Honestly, these beetles are even less of a threat than the wasps. They're practically a joke! They only have 10 Health and their bite does a measly 10 Damage. You get 1 Experience and 1 Renown for beating them. They're weak to Sharpening and Piercing Augmentations. You'll only really run into these in the Guild Woods right at the start of the game.

Stag Beetle Queen

This is a slightly less amusing enemy, but it makes sense since you only fight it during the Guild Training when you're just getting your bearings. It has 200 Health and its bite deals 30 Damage. You'll earn 10 Experience and 3 Renown. It's weak to Sharpening and Piercing Augmentations. You'll find it in the Guild Woods during your melee training session.
