    Progress the Hunter’s quest line until you receive the quest “The Hunter’s Hand Spindle”.

    Travel to Revelwood, located to the north. If you are not yet ready for Revelwood, bring a Flame Altar for fast travel or progress main quests until they lead you there.

    Head north from your current location. You may need to strengthen your flame if you encounter the red Shroud area known as Deadly Shroud.

    Continue north until you find the town of Diadwyn.

    Locate the Revelwood Ancient Spire to the northeast of Diadwyn.

    North of the Spire, on top of a cliff, you will find the “Abandoned Hunter Camp”.

    The Hand Spindle is located within the Abandoned Hunter Camp, next to a tent, and it glows orange.

    Place the Hand Spindle in your base.

    Interact with the Hand Spindle and select “browse recipes” to see the Linen recipe.

  • There are two ways to obtain Flax: picking it up off the ground or creating a farm.
  • Picking up Flax is quicker for obtaining Flax Seedlings, but farming provides an endless supply.

  • Select Flax Seedlings are yielded at a rate of 10 per two Flax.
  • Craft a Farmbed from the Farmer, place it on the floor, add farm soil, rake it, and then plant the Flax Seedlings.
  • The Spinning Wheel is more efficient for crafting Linen than the Hand Spindle, requiring only 1 Flax per Linen compared to 2 Flax per Linen.
