How to Get Fabric in Enshrouded

Fabric in Enshrouded can be obtained through two primary methods: crafting it yourself using a Loom, or by looting it from destructible objects and chests found in the Kindlewastes biome. Crafting is the main, albeit resource-intensive, way to acquire Fabric, while looting serves as a supplementary, passive method.

Crafting Fabric:

To craft Fabric, you first need to obtain the Loom. This requires completing a quest from the Hunter NPC. After accepting her quest, you'll need to find her missing Loom. The Loom can be found in East Lapis, a Point of Interest (POI) located in the northeast section of the map. To reach East Lapis, travel north from the Kindlewastes Tower, passing through a cave to reach the plateau. Alternatively, you can approach from the northwestern side of the Nomad Highlands, navigate through Vukah territory, and then descend onto the plateau.

Upon arriving in East Lapis, enter the settlement from the north. Be aware that this area is populated by level 25 Scavengers. Proceed to the large building on the western side of the main road, known as the Weaver's Cottage. Inside, find the southwestern corner on the ground floor and fall into a pit; the Loom will be located within the cave below.

Once you have the Loom, place it in your base. This action unlocks the Fabric crafting recipe, which requires five Linen per Fabric. The process of acquiring Linen involves farming Flax, turning it into Flax Seeds, and using Farmbeds. For accelerated crop growth, especially Flax, you'll eventually need Nitrate and Fossilized Bone Dust to create fertilized soil, available after unlocking the Laboratory.

Looting Fabric:

The secondary method for obtaining Fabric involves searching lootable objects in the Kindlewastes. Specifically, explore areas like the Sun Temples, Flame Sanctums, Shrines, and the Kindlewastes Tower. Smashing vases and checking benches can yield random items, including Fabric. While this method often provides different colored fabrics more frequently than regular Fabric, it can still contribute to your overall supply over time.

Usage of Fabric:

Fabric is a crucial component for crafting Padding, another essential end-game material obtained from the Hunter. Padding is vital for creating high-tier armor sets, with each armor piece potentially requiring 1-5 pieces of Padding. This high demand underscores the importance of establishing efficient Flax farming and utilizing fertilized soil to maintain a steady supply of Fabric.
