First things first, you'll need to complete the 'Crafter's' quest which eventually points you towards the Kindlewastes. Once you're there, you'll get another quest called 'Scientific Instruments'. This one is your ticket to the Laboratory. It'll send you on a bit of a scavenger hunt through various points of interest in the Kindlewastes, ultimately leading you to the Eldermere Dam Excavation Site. You can find this spot pretty easily – just head directly east from the Nomad Highlands Tower. You'll spot a chasm filled with shroud in the distance; head into that, and keep going east. Eventually, you'll find yourself in a clear valley with the excavation site built right into the mountain.

Keep an eye out for some large birds on the east side of the excavation site. Their nest is where you'll find the Scientific Instruments. Just a heads-up, though: the Vultures guarding the nest are no joke. They're pretty tough and there are usually a good number of them, so be prepared for a fight!

Once you've snagged the Scientific Instruments, it's time to actually build the Laboratory. You'll need a few specific components, most of which you can craft at your Alchemist station or build directly at your base:

• Athanor - You'll craft this at the Alchemist. It requires 10 Glass, 10 Bronze Bars, and 5 Lump of Clay.
• 40 Fired Bricks
• 10 Copper Bars
• 3 Glass
