Guide to grinding levels and acquiring gear for the Hero and Prince in Dragon Quest II. Learn recommended levels, equipment, and strategies for the Cannock region.
Walkthrough
- 1Start by staying around Cannock until the Prince reaches level 3. At this level, the Prince learns Sizz, a spell that damages all enemies in a group at the cost of 2 MP.
- 2Once the Prince is level 3, grind west of Cannock near the cave. Go west, cross the bridge, and continue west through the narrow forested passage between the mountains. You should see a cave.
- 3Grind in the hills in this area until the Hero is at least level 7 and the Prince is at least level 6.
- 4Use Cannock to rest, restock, or save your game when needed.
- 5Return to Cannock to purchase a Chain Sickle for the Hero and sell his Copper Sword.
- 6Ensure you have 2-3 Antidotal Herbs, a couple of Medicinal Herbs, and a Chimaera Wing for the upcoming cave, especially if the Prince's MP runs low.
- 7The next part is optional but highly recommended: head for the cave west of Cannock.
