Alright, let's talk about Andariel, the big bad at the end of Act 1 in Diablo II: Resurrected. While she's a bit of a pushover on Normal difficulty, don't underestimate her on Nightmare and Hell – she's definitely worth farming for some sweet gear!

You'll find her chilling on the fourth level of the Catacombs. So, after you've warped to the Catacombs Level 2 Waypoint, you've got two more levels to fight your way through to get to her.

Farming Andariel: What's the Loot?

On Normal difficulty, her Monster Level (mLv) is a bit too low to drop the really good stuff. But once you hit Nightmare, things get interesting. While Mephisto might be a more popular target for general mid-tier gear, Nightmare Andariel is actually one of the best places to hunt for Stones of Jordan. She has a higher chance to drop amulets and rings, and her mLv in Nightmare is just right – high enough for those coveted Stones of Jordan, but not so high that she drops *every* other ring type, making her a prime spot for them.

When you get to Hell difficulty, Andariel can drop pretty much everything Mephisto can, plus some other awesome items like Gheed’s Fortune and Harlequin Crest. Plus, you can find Monarchs (needed for Spirit runewords!) from regular monsters on your way to her, making farming her a really solid choice. She's still great for rings and amulets, so keep an eye out for things like Raven Frost and Bul-Kathos’s Wedding Band, though the wider drop pool in Hell makes Stones of Jordan a bit less likely compared to Nightmare.

Andariel's Attacks and Weaknesses

Andariel mainly hits you with poison damage, but don't forget her physical attacks can pack a punch too! To survive her onslaught, make sure you've got high poison resistance. Gear that reduces poison duration is also super helpful. The good news? She's quite weak to fire damage. This makes her a pretty easy target for a Meteorb Sorceress. If you're playing a Hammerdin Paladin, her lack of resistance to magic damage also makes her a good match for that build.
