Den of Evil

Your first quest in Diablo II: Resurrected! Learn how to clear the Den of Evil, get a Skill Point, and your one-time respec from Akara.

Alright, so your very first quest in Diablo II: Resurrected is called the “Den of Evil.” Don't let the name fool you, it's not some super-secret lair; it's actually a dungeon you'll find right outside the Rogue Encampment in an area called the Blood Moor. Your main goal here is pretty straightforward: just kill every single monster inside the Den of Evil. Keep an eye out though, because those sneaky Fallen Shamans love to bring their buddies back from the dead, so you might have to do a bit of a sweep to find the last few.

Once you've cleared out all the baddies, the game will let you know you're almost done – it starts tracking your progress when there are only five or fewer enemies left. After that, just head back to Akara in the Rogue Encampment. She'll thank you for your troubles and hook you up with your reward. You automatically get a bonus Skill Point, which is awesome for beefing up your character. Plus, you'll unlock the ability to reset your stat and skill points one time, which is super handy if you mess up your build early on. Just talk to Akara again and select the “Reset Stat/Skill Points” option to use it.

Heads Up for Hell Difficulty: If you're playing on Hell difficulty, this quest can be a bit more challenging. Some enemies are immune to certain elements. Specifically, Ghouls and Wendigos resist cold damage, and the regular Fallen and Fallen Shamans are immune to fire. So, if you're a cold or fire-focused character, you'll want to bring along a mercenary or have a backup damage type ready!
