    If McCoy is surrounded by police, it is best to re-enter an area you want to be. Killing the police may not be easy unless both the cops and McCoys are not in a tight space together. They will usually run around your location sometimes and may shoot him if he didn't run away quickly from them.

    Rats are a threat to McCoy in the sewers but they aren't necessary to shoot and can be avoided easily. If not, shoot them before they bite him to death.

    Seldomly, three mutants will spawn near the way to McCoy's apartment, which are the stairs leading down the sewer ladder and the pathway to the Kipple in Act 5. One of the three mutants will attack McCoy by throwing projectiles on him. Sometimes, they will be at the sewers intersection or the pipeline Chinatown. They will usually spawn after meeting Guzza.

    Bob Gorsky's shop is open in this act. But you can't ask him anything or buy the 24 medium-power bullets if you didn't get them from Act 2 since he'll shoot you straight after the police alerted him from a small intercom when he enters the shop.

    McCoy can now optionally enter Runciter's Animals again only for this act.

    Since McCoy's spinner has been towed, the sewers are the only way he can access to any destination you want him to go except the police station.
