Navigate the challenging 'Early Q (2)' section of Blade & Sorcery with this expert walkthrough. Get step-by-step guidance and essential tips to overcome obstacles and progress.

Alright, let's dive into the 'Early Q (2)' part of Blade & Sorcery. This can be a bit tricky if you're not sure what you're doing, but don't worry, I've got your back. We'll get through this together.

First things first, you'll find yourself in a situation where you need to interact with the environment and gather some initial clues. Pay close attention to Officer Leary; keep chatting with him until he starts repeating himself. This is also a good time to get familiar with your KIA (Known Individuals and Clues) by left-clicking on Ray when your gun isn't drawn. It's super handy for keeping track of everything.

Now, let's get those clues. You'll want to click on the fire hydrant, then the shiny piece of chrome right in front of it, and finally the left side of the doorway leading into Runciter's shop. After that, check out the crowd behind the barricades. Officer Leary will handle interviewing them, giving you a moment to head inside.

Inside Runciter's Animals, have a good chat with Runciter. Make sure to go through all the conversation options. He'll mention Lucy Devlan and give you her reference letter. Next, look up at the video camera hanging from the ceiling – it's to the left of the big cage and has a little red light. Runciter will hand over a videodisk after some banter.

Don't miss the Shell Casings on the ground near the door; they're a dark spot, and your cursor will turn green when you hover over them. Now, head to the back, which is Lucy's Corner. You'll need to examine the Toy Dog by the wall, the Chopstick Wrapper under the chair, and the Candy Bar on the desk. Once you've got all that, you can head back outside.

Back outside, chat with Officer Leary again. He'll share the info he got from the crowd – you should get two interviews. With that done, it's time to hop into your spinner and set a course for Police Headquarters.

At the Police Station, make your way to the elevator and head up to Floor 2. This is where the ESPER room is. You can download your KIA clues here, which is useful, and also check videodisks. Click the right monitor to download your KIA, then switch to the center one to view Runciter's surveillance footage.

When you're looking at the first picture, use the crosshairs to zoom in on the area next to the TV above the tiger's cage. You'll get a closer look at Lucy and her jewelry. Make sure to get a hardcopy of this. Then, zoom in on Lucy's desk in the back and examine the white paper – it's a sushi menu from Howie Lee's bar in Chinatown. Grab another hardcopy.

Now, click the 'X' button in the top left to go back and select the second picture. Zoom in on the shadow in the doorway. This gives you a new suspect, so get a hardcopy. After that, zoom in on the black car behind the suspect for one last hardcopy. You're done with Runciter's videodisk for now. Feel free to check out the shooting range if you want, then head back to the elevator.

Take the elevator to Floor Three. Here, you'll find Klein in the Laboratory. He's super helpful for understanding clues, so chat with him and use all the conversation threads. Once you're done, head back to the elevator and then up to the Roof.

Back on the Roof, jump into your spinner and fly over to Chinatown. Head straight for Howie Lee's Sushi Bar.

Inside, you'll see a comedian named Gordo. After he leaves, speak to Howie Lee, the guy behind the counter. Again, use all the conversation options. He'll then lead you to the kitchen, where you'll need to talk to Zuben. Whether you discuss Lucy or the VK test, get ready to click rapidly on the right side of the screen. When Zuben tries to splash you with boiling pot contents, you'll dodge it (or get up slowly if you don't). Your next move is to run out the back door, chasing Zuben into the alley.

In the alley, you'll find a hobo near a dumpster. You can deal with him if you choose, then rummage through the dumpster for a license plate. If you dealt with the hobo, you can dump his body in the dumpster. Now, you have a choice on how to handle Zuben.

Choice #1: Killing Zuben in the Warehouse

Enter the door by the dumpster. Head up the stairs on the right into the warehouse. Continue to the end of the dark corridor. Zuben will drop down. You can choose to kill him or spare him. If you kill him, search his body for a picture. Then, head back downstairs and speak to the cops. Finally, jump in your spinner and head to your apartment.

Choice #2: Confronting Zuben at your Apartment

Run in the opposite direction from the dumpster, all the way down the alley. Then, jump back into your spinner and head to your apartment.

At your apartment, approach the elevator on the far end of the roof. Zuben will appear. You can choose to kill him or spare him. If you kill him, you'll have a chat with a guy named Gaff. Search Zuben's body for a picture. Then, get into the elevator.

Whether you chose to kill Zuben or not, head to your apartment room (88f) via the elevator. You'll meet Maggie, your new dog. You can feed her from the counter. Notice the ESPER machine on the table near the couch – just like the one at the police station. Head into Ray's bedroom, and after a brief scene on the balcony, you'll go to sleep, ending Act I. You're doing great!
