Explore the fun and quirky extras in Blade & Sorcery, including game mode modifiers, hidden dance floors, music glitches, conversation skips, and secret K.I.A. features.

There are a few things you can actually do in the game anytime.

a) Changing Game Modes:
In order to experience the game in a different way, you need to edit the shortcut's target line from the desktop shortcut of Blade Runner. To do this, right-click the Blade Runner desktop shortcut to bring up the menu. Then, click "Properties". In the Properties menu, look at the "Target" box. Add one of the words as shown below and click "Apply". Close the menu and play the game.

  1. SITCOM
The game will randomly add a laugh track after some conversation or narration.
  2. SHORTY
The game will shrink the characters and increase their voice pitch.

These modes will not affect the game's cutscenes of course.

b) Spinning Dance Floor:
In the VIP area of Early Q's nightclub, there's a dancer who is spinning around the dance floor. Take McCoy there and he'll spin around. The further he stands around, the faster McCoy will spin.

c) Background Music Glitch:
Whichever save game you reload will occur this glitch, for example in Early Q's nightclub when exiting or the beginning of Act 3 where the music from the end of Act 2 plays suddenly when you reload this autosave.

d) Skipping Unskippable Conversations
If McCoy can still roam around an area but couldn't exit because another character is still talking in there, you can use this trick to make that person skip the conversation. To do this, make sure McCoy is in one of these scenes: 1) Gordo on the show at Taffy Lewis' nightclub. 2) Guzza and Clovis in the central sewers. After McCoy can run around while they're talking, go to the K.I.A. menu. In the menu, click on the "Clue Database" menu and click on either one of these clues: 1) Amateur Bombing 2) Answering Machine Message 3) Attempted File Access. These three clues are audio recordings and they will interrupt a conversation in the game. After returning to the game, another conversation will start. If so, keep doing this until you can order McCoy to exit the area unless you have the option to skip the conversation in-game. You can use any kind of audio recordings you have in McCoy's K.I.A. but it's recommended to use either one of the three above since they're the closest and the fastest.

e) K.I.A. Hidden Features:

  1. The Diagnostic Test
On top of the K.I.A. is a black button you can click on it. It will show you the developers credits while Runciter's shouts out a sentence taken from the game. It scrolls way too fast on modern computers though.
  2. A Contribution From 3 Coders.
In the K.I.A. or Options menu, type "POGO" to see the message after a laugh track plays. Here's the long list of the contributions made by the coders.
