Assassin's Creed Syndicate introduces a dedicated sneaking mode, allowing players to move in a crouched walk to become harder to spot and draw less attention. This mode enhances the stealth gameplay with several key abilities and techniques.

Stealth Abilities:

1. Sneaking: A crouched walk that makes the player harder to detect.
2. Hiding: Utilize set hiding spots such as haystacks, benches with NPCs, cupboards, sheds, and curtained areas. While hidden, characters are nearly invisible, perfect for observing enemy patrols and planning moves. Insta-kill assassinations are possible from these spots.
3. Cover: Players can hide behind environmental objects like walls, crates, and corners. Crouching allows cover behind lower objects. From cover, players can free-aim ranged weapons without being spotted or perform cover assassinations.
4. Whistling: Use to attract enemy attention to your location, useful for luring enemies into traps or hiding spots for silent takedowns.
5. Eagle Vision: Marks targets and persons of interest, making them visible through walls even when not in regular vision mode. Essential for tracking patrols and specific targets.
6. Assassinations: Undetected enemies can be killed instantaneously with an assassination attack.

Types of Assassinations:

• Assassination: Approach a guard undetected and press the melee button when their aura turns red.
• Double Assassination: Approach two enemies undetected and press the attack button when their auras turn red.
• Air Assassination: From a raised position (roof, cable, girder), target an enemy below and press the assassination button to jump and take them down.
• Double Air Assassination: Similar to Air Assassination, but target two enemies from a ledge and press the melee button.
• Hanging Ledge Assassination: Hang from ledges or window frames and assassinate enemies who walk too close, either pulling them off or stabbing them.
• Corner Assassination: While in cover, if a guard gets close to the corner, initiate a stealthy assassination.
• Cover Assassination: From behind low cover (crates, half walls), reach over to grab and stab an enemy directly opposite.
• Hiding Place Assassination: From a hiding spot (haystack, bench, curtain), assassinate an enemy who comes into close proximity, instantly killing them and hiding the body.
