Alright, let's talk about Contracts in Assassin's Creed Shadows. Think of these as little side-missions that pop up and give you a great way to earn some extra goodies like Mon (that's the in-game currency), experience points (EXP), and crucial crafting materials. You'll want to get into the habit of doing these early and often!

Unlocking Contracts:

You can grab Contracts from any Kakurega building. Don't worry about finding them early on, because you'll actually have to build one yourself when you reach your Hideout during the quest From Spark to Flame. So, pretty much right after the prologue, you're good to go. Just head into any Kakurega, find the box of Contracts sitting on the floor, and interact with it. You'll see three active Contracts for each region, plus maybe some 'opportunities'. Just accept the ones that catch your eye, and they'll be marked on your map.

Completing Contracts and What You Get:

Each season, you'll get three Contracts per region. When you pick one, it'll mark an enemy camp on your map. Your job is usually pretty straightforward: head to the camp and take out all the enemies, assassinate the leader, grab a chest, or destroy some parcels. These camps tend to have a similar layout and are usually guarded by about half a dozen enemies, sometimes with a few random travelers wandering by. You might also run into an elite enemy or a heavy. While you don't always have to wipe out every single foe, these camps are packed with resources and crafting materials, plus a chest. Clearing them out is almost always worth it for the extra loot, on top of whatever the Contract reward is.

As for the rewards, Contracts usually offer one of three things: Mon, resources, or crafting materials. Honestly, the Mon reward is often the least exciting, even if you're looking for cash! You'll snag hundreds of resources and materials from each Contract you finish, which is a much better way to build up your supplies. If you really need Mon, selling off those extra resources and materials will likely net you way more than the direct Mon reward from the Contract itself. To make things a bit more balanced, the Mon reward Contracts usually give about double the EXP compared to the others. All Contracts give a solid chunk of EXP, usually 1000-2000+, and you can expect to get hundreds or even thousands of Mon's worth of materials from each one. Seriously, they're incredibly profitable for how simple they are.

If you're looking to level up reasonably fast or just stock up on Mon, resources, and crafting materials, Contracts are pretty much your best bet. Once you've got Kakuregas set up in a few different regions, you can just make a circuit, clearing Contracts as you go for some serious gains.
