Learn about the Priestess of the Moon, Keeper of the Grove, and Demon Hunter heroes in Warcraft III: Reforged, including their abilities and stats.

Priestess of the Moon

The Priestess of the Moon offers strong damage-boosting abilities and a powerful ultimate, but her mana can deplete quickly if not managed carefully.

  • Stats: Damage 21-31 (hero; 600), Speed Average, Armor 4 (hero), Move speed Fast, Strength 18, Agility 19 (primary attribute), Intelligence 15, Base hit points 550, Base mana 225.

Abilities:

  • Scout: Summons an owl to scout the map for 100/75/50 mana. Recommended to be acquired later due to other strong Night Elf scouting options.
  • Searing Arrows: Increases attack damage by 10/20/30. This ability significantly boosts damage but can drain mana rapidly. It's advised to manage its auto-cast setting, enabling it when mana is full and disabling it during minor engagements to conserve mana for critical moments.
  • Trueshot Aura: Increases base ranged damage by 10/20/30%. This should be prioritized as the primary attribute, benefiting nearly all Night Elf ranged units like archers, huntresses, chimeras, and hippogryph riders.
  • Starfall: Calls down waves of stars that deal 50 damage per wave for 45 seconds to nearby units. This ultimate requires minimal effort, simply requiring the hero to channel in the midst of battle to inflict damage on surrounding enemies.

Keeper of the Grove

The Keeper of the Grove wields nature-based abilities for both offense and defense, making them a strong choice for crowd control and healing.

  • Stats: Damage 20-26 (hero; 600), Speed Average, Armor 3 (hero), Move speed Fast, Strength 16, Agility 15, Intelligence 18 (primary attribute), Base hit points 500, Base mana 270.

Abilities:

  • Entangling Roots: Immobilizes a target unit, dealing 15/15/25 damage per second for 9/24/36 seconds. This is a highly effective crowd control and damage ability, particularly useful against heroes and powerful individual units. Recommended as one of the first two abilities to learn.
  • Force of Nature: Summons 2/3/4 treants for 60 seconds from nearby trees. Treants have 300 hit points and deal 15-17 damage. While fun and useful for harassing opponents, it's considered less beneficial than other abilities and can be acquired later.
  • Thorns Aura: Reflects 10/20/30% of an enemy unit's melee attacks back at them. This is exceptionally strong against heavy melee opponents and should be prioritized if facing such threats. If the opponent is not melee-focused, the choice between this and Entangling Roots is situational, though Thorns Aura offers significant reflected damage.
  • Tranquility: Heals friendly units within an area for 20 hit points per second for 30 seconds. This is considered the best healing ability in the game, capable of restoring up to 600 health points per unit in the area, potentially turning the tide of a match. Keeping units within the healing radius is crucial.

Demon Hunter

The Demon Hunter is a highly favored hero due to their potent ultimate, strong solo capabilities, effectiveness against melee and spellcasters, and good survivability enhanced by a passive ability.

  • Stats: Damage 24-46 (hero; melee), Speed Fast, Armor 5 (hero), Move speed Fast, Strength 19, Agility 22 (primary attribute), Intelligence 16, Base hit points 575, Base mana 240.

Abilities:

  • Mana Burn: Burns 50/100/150 mana from an enemy and deals damage equal to the mana burned. This is excellent against spellcasters and heroes, capable of quickly depleting their resources and weakening them. It's also useful for defeating powerful creeps in single-player campaigns.
  • Immolation: Consumes approximately 5 mana per second to deal 10/15/20 damage per second to nearby enemies. This ability should be maxed out first. If Mana Burn is not being utilized, Immolation becomes the primary use for mana and can devastate groups of melee or even ranged units at close range when fully upgraded.
  • Evasion: Grants a 10/20/30% chance for enemy attacks to miss. If Mana Burn is not a priority, Evasion is a strong secondary choice. Combined with Immolation, it allows the Demon Hunter to deal significant damage while surviving for extended periods. If facing spellcasters or heroes is a concern, prioritize Mana Burn; otherwise, Evasion is recommended for aggressive play.
  • Metamorphosis: Transforms the Demon Hunter into a demon, granting 500 bonus hit points and a chaos damage ranged attack with improved damage and attack speed. This ultimate is highly effective, especially when combined with maxed Immolation and Evasion, allowing the Demon Hunter to solo many challenges and efficiently destroy buildings due to its rapid attack speed and chaos damage.
