Conquer Valkyria Chronicles 4 Part 33's challenging night maps. Learn expert strategies for Minerva's team, ace encounters, and tank destruction in this detailed walkthrough.
Walkthrough
- 1Turn 1: Minerva's team advances to the east enemy camp to engage the ace. The ace can be defeated via blind fire headshot from stairs (2 CP), or by using grenades or spotting and sniping. The ace is located near high ground in the east enemy camp, next to two unbreakable fences.
- 2Turn 2: Minerva's team defeats the ace and proceeds to the middle map area, using ladders. Several enemies in this section are eliminated.
- 3Turn 3: Minerva's team secures the middle of the map and captures the central camp. Units reposition for the final push to the main enemy camp. Gertrude is deployed from the middle camp. Laurent assists in destroying the front barricade if needed. Claude's team uses direct command to eliminate the Lancer leader and retreats out of sight.
- 4Turn 4: Gertrude destroys the tank. Minerva's team moves towards the main enemy camp. Riley and Aladdin provide long-range support from the bridge. Minerva can utilize a specific terrain spot above stairs to easily spot and engage both enemy shocks. Remaining stationary targets can be destroyed by Eileen and Claude if command points allow.
Tips
- Night maps feature sight line bugs, allowing enemies to see through walls and obstacles, but also enabling surprise attacks and stealth.
- Enemy shocks have a 9% dodge rate, and friendly fire from other Lancers can destroy barriers.
- Strategies are designed to be resilient to enemy dodges and misfires, provided command points are available.
- For Skirmish 2 Expert, consider surprise attacking the Northwest scout from the front near a pillar, potentially allowing Riley to engage the Northwest shock. Running behind the North shock on the main enemy camp can also increase reliability if the other shock is not obstructing.
- Alternative, less tested strategies include blind fire killing the ace, using Claude to move a Lancer to the tank, or sneaking Claude to the ace.
- For Skirmish 3 Expert (4 turns), Claude handles anti-personnel and anti-Gatling turret duties. Riley targets Grenadiers, snipers, and sandbags. Eileen uses the ZM Kar X (e) rifle for tank destruction.
- The ZM Kar X (e) rifle, while powerful, has limitations: it cannot damage tanks from the front or sides, barely one-shots radiators even with accessories, and has a limited range.
- Clearing expert skirmishes within low turn counts involves RNG. Using "a child's wish" once or twice can mitigate issues with enemy dodges or unit misfires. A 5-turn clear is still viable.
- The ace in Skirmish 3 is behind the tank on the south side of the map; use explosives from cover.
- Utilize anti-mortar bunkers to safely spot Grenadiers when advancing through the middle of the map.
- For Skirmish 3 Expert improvement: Use Eileen's grenades a second time on Turn 1 to finish the ace with a surprise attack. Move Riley further north at the end of Turn 1 to increase interception fire on the scout moving south.
- Skirmish 4 Expert (5 turns) is challenging due to the 9 CP limit per turn and high enemy density, requiring careful management to avoid damage.
