Learn the most effective strategies to defeat bosses in Valkyria Chronicles 4 Part 15. Discover tips on using smoke, positioning, and unit deployment to overcome challenges.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Initial Objective: Capture the northwest camp and defeat the ace. This can make bosses passive.
  2. 2
Sniper Tactics: Utilize map corners, smoke, and eliminate the east high-ground sniper to control sniper positions. This allows you to dictate boss movement for easier defeat.
  3. 3
Smoke Strategy: The most effective method involves dropping smoke on bosses and attacking within the smoke, preventing their dodge and intercept abilities. If a boss is crouched on a sandbag, destroy the sandbag first.
  4. 4
Tank Shove: Shoving bosses with the tank can turn them around, but this is less reliable.
  5. 5
Reload Attack: Firing at bosses while they are reloading prevents them from dodging.
  6. 6
Flanking Maneuver: A more difficult approach involves sending a scout through west tunnels, killing the ace, and capturing the northwest camp. From the camp, deploy shocktroopers for a surprise rear attack. This method bypasses the need for smoke but can still benefit from it as insurance.
  7. 7
Sniper Support: Employ snipers positioned on high ground and at the main camp to target incoming enemies.
  8. 8
Paratrooper Management: Allow some paratroopers to land; they can be eliminated by base interception fire, saving command points. T1 allows leaving shock and scout units alive; T3 allows leaving the lancer alive. Some existing map enemies will also fall to interception fire.
  9. 9
Unit Progression: Azusa reaches Corporal Rank after completing this chapter.
Tips
  • Consider using the tier 3-4 royal lance for its high damage output against assault tanks and battery cannons.
  • For deployment, spot (1) near the cannon battery is for a lancer. Spot (2) in the south upper area is for a sniper or grenadier. Spot (3) in the middle is dangerous due to enemy shock trooper sightlines; deploy a durable unit or leave it empty.
  • Initially, ignore most enemies on the left side. The left battery radiator can be targeted from low ground.
  • Use Claude and a grenadier to move east, capture the middle camp for reinforcements (lancers, engineer), and eliminate leaders and tanks. Grenadiers can safely bombard from fog. Be cautious of scouts in the fog.
  • Part 2, Turn 2: Move the Glory and APC to safety and deal with infantry. Turn 3: The Glory can eliminate tanks and the ace. Grenadiers are effective for both high and low targets.
  • Clearing Part 2 in a single turn without damage is possible but requires a difficult grenadier shot on the assault tank and limits Claude's direct command usage.
  • A bug related to mid-mission saves in Part 1 can cause fog issues in Part 2. Reloading from a Part 2 save, if the bug hasn't occurred, should be safe.
  • Keigel reaches Corporal Rank after completing this chapter.
  • The royal weapons shown at the end of the video are for fairness.

Chapter 12 (2t): Utilize scouts: one heads north/east, two head southeast towards the ace and tunnel. Claude proceeds to the goal.

Chapter 13 (3t): Grenadiers are highly effective. Take the direct middle route, avoiding east/northwest areas except to destroy the second hidden tank. Use Aoife (antitank mortar), Riley (ace mortar), Aladdin (sniper), Minerva/Rita (support/direct command), APC (hidden tanks), and a lancer (light tanks).

Chapter 14 (2t): A better strategy than Riley firing over the wall involves switching Claude and Ronald/APC roles due to increased AP from tank upgrades. Claude on the right can smoke the ace for an engineer's surprise attack. This improves reliability over grenadier shots and saves a direct command.
