When the Egyptian-Themed Robot (a type of enemy) moves towards you, EggRobo will charge up his laser cannon and fire a small laser at you. If you stay away from the robot, you should be able to dodge it. EggRobo will use his 2 hands to crush you, but you can use them to climb up the robot and hit the laser cannon. The armour of the robot will fall apart, revealing EggRobo in the process. Hit him a few times and jump off the robot, as the armour will cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) it up again.
Once you have opened the Prison Egg, you'll automatically head right and Knuckles will enter Lava Reef Zone.
